So good to see so many children at school. The last two days have been full of fun and laughter. Looking forward to continuing this to the end of the year.
Yesterday we had 71% return to school and today it is 69% of students back at school. Online learning is continuing for those who are opting to stay at home. Learning packs are available from the front door by ordering them from the classroom teacher.
The nice weather helps by being able to be outside as much as possible. The scooters, skateboards and skates are a real hit with many of the students. Remember to provide a helmet as well.
We are spending a lot of time outside so remember SUNBLOCK!!, water bottles AND HATS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We still are waiting on confirmation from MOE if we can open the pool. At the moment it remains closed.
You may like to keep the wheels at school so that you do not have to get them in and out of the car each day. We will put them inside the classrooms overnight.
Our staff have been fantastic at keeping tamariki safe, setting up fun and engaging activities for the children to reconnect, establish and or rekindle friendships and forget about the world of COVID.
We are doing our absolute best to keep COVID out of school. We ask the community to do their bit by not sending children to school if they are sick or have been in contact with COVID cases. Please let us
know ASAP if you and your household are getting tested so that we can support you moving forward.
The ‘click and collect’ process at drop off and pick up times is working and we thank you for your cooperation, patience and understanding.
We have made a small change to the pick up time for the LZ4 only children (year 0 and 1) Please pick up at 2.15pm. Families/siblings will remain at 2.30 pick up. LZ3 at 2.45 and the bus, LZ1 and 2 are at 2.55.
Remember to notify the office if there is a pick up change or a bus change.
Today we held a click and collect sport prize giving and gave the deserving students the cups. Congratulations to all the students who received these. Photos and names will come in next week’s newsletter.
