Sport at Dairy Flat School

Dairy Flat School prides itself in trying to encourage children and families to be active and be part of a team. Primary school offers a perfect time for children to have a go at various sports.  We only ask for commitment , fair play and have fun!

Zone Days 

Thursday 13 March – Cricket

Thursday 12 June – Rippa Rugby

Thursday 19 June – Football

Thursday 21 August – Hockey

Thursday 11 September – Cross Country

Thursday 23 October – Softball

Thursday 13 November – TAG (TBC)

 

Winter Hockey   Year 3-6

Season starts Monday 6th May – 19th or 25th August (14 weeks – excludes Kings Birthday and School holidays). Games are played at Rosedale on a Monday night between 4.00pm – 6.00pm.

Children will require their own hockey stick, shin pads and gum guard.

Fees will be approximately (this is dependent on how many children are in a team):

Year 3-6 $190 per child

Year 0-2 $140 per child

This includes a uniform hire fee, turf fees and umpire fees.

Payment will be due once your child is placed in a team.

Please make sure your child and you are aware that you are committing for two terms to represent Dairy Flat in a team. This will also include attending practices and abiding by a Code of Conduct.

 

Winter Netball Year 0-6

Games are played on Saturday mornings at Pinehurst School – the competition is run by Kidzplay.

The 2025 Winter Season will run from 10th May to 14th June and from 19th July to 6th September (13 weeks). No netball on 31st May – King’s Birthday Weekend & 21st June – Matariki Weekend.

Fees will be $120 per child – this includes a uniform hire fee plus umpire fees.  This is payable at the school office or into the school bank account 12-3046-0199063-00 BEFORE the 20th March. Children will NOT be placed in teams until the fees are paid.

If your child commits to a team, they are committing to play the whole season of 13weeks and attend practice sessions.

PLEASE NOTE THAT NO TEAM WILL BE ENTERED IF THEY DO NOT HAVE A COACH AND MANAGER

We have 5 teams entered and playing at Stanmore Bay.  New sign ups are welcome in June.

$150.00 per player  This includes a $20 uniform bond. This bond will cover the use of the uniform for the whole year and only needs to be paid once. 

Practices will be in the school hall after school.

Wednesday 3.00- 4.30pm  Miniball/Basketball Year 3/4/5/6 trainings
