Kia ora e te whānau
After yesterday’s announcement the leadership team has got together today to make a few decisions
- School will start on Monday 18th October for ALL children and staff
- Masks are optional
- We cannot ask you if you are vaccinated and you cannot ask us if we are vaccinated. Please respect this. The government may change this in the future
- NO parents/caregivers or visitors on site, except for pre-school visits and by consultation. School remains closed during the holidays.
- Sausage sizzle – to go ahead in level 3, step 2
- MORE detailed information to come home closer to the day
- Level 1 Ag day will continue as normal. (very unlikely)
- Level 2/3 The day will be modified. Only open to students and their immediate family. There will be no stalls, no cake stalls, no white elephant. No scarecrows. Ag day will be recorded for others to view. (MOST LIKELY scenario)
- Friday bring mystery seeds, block construction, class items. Young farmers will be held. NO CAREGIVERS/PARENTS on site.
- Saturday, all animals, lambs, calves, goats, caged pets and chickens. CAREGIVERS/PARENTS of students with animals only. NO extra family or friends. Prize Giving at end of the day.
- Some fundraisers on line.
- Level 4 All of Ag day will be virtual with students providing videos and connecting with others via the internet. Videos will be collated to create an ag day video for others to view (hoping not to be in level 4)
- SPORT practices, games. We will communicate with you what this looks like when school reopens.
- AUCKLAND TRANSPORT – Construction of a new footpath, bus stop and parking area has started outside the school. This project will be completed by the end of November. If you would like to speak to someone about this please get in touch with Luis Biggio – Project Manager (TSL) – 021 911 444
- All information regarding changes to school events, assemblies, sports days will be notified through the newsletter or newsflash. Please read these to keep informed or contact the office or myself if you have any questions or concerns. Newsletters are kept on our school website. www.dairyflat.school.nz
