To our parent community
I hope that you are doing well in your bubbles. I think everyone feels unsettled and frustrated by this latest lockdown, however we need to remember that these actions are designed to keep us safe. The staff at Dairy Flat School are equally upset at our school lockdown and we are really hoping that there are no more community cases so that we can open again safely next week. We are all waiting for the governments direction on the COVID level for next week. We have our fingers crossed that all our wonderful students will be back.
Due to this lockdown the School picnic day has been cancelled. We will run some of the house events at school later in the term. We will inform you when dates for this have been confirmed.
The LZ1 swim sports at Stanmore Bay Leisure Centre have been rescheduled for the 15th March.
Planning is continuing for camp. We are putting plans in place for Camp at Level 2, though we hope these will not be necessary. We have received advice from both the Ministry of Education and the activities providers as well as the accommodation provider.
We miss the chats, the laughter, the ideas and understandings that our students bring to their learning at school. We can’t wait for their return.
